Hi,

I hope you are well!
I was wondering if you had 3d files to print the FED3.1 front with the angled dispenser and the rest of the hopper with case separately?
I bought the FED3.1 kits recently and I am 3d printing the housing at the lab using PLA.
Thank you so much.
Best,
Estefania

Hi Estefania!
I'm not sure exactly what parts you are talking about, the hopper is build into the case.  Do you mean the cage divider to wall the FED3 off from the rest of the cage?

The ready-to-print FED3 STL files are here, and the editable TinkerCAD designs (including cage dividers are here).  Let me know if this is what you need!

Oh yes those parts were the old design.  The nose-piece is separate in the new design

You can either print it in plastic and replace it if they chew it, or get it printed in steel through Shapeways.com (that's what we do!)

Hi Lex,

Thank you very much!
I saw you posted in the Hackaday a design to print only the front panel (nosepokes and food port, Gallery | Feeding Experimentation Device 3 (FED3) | Hackaday.io) and you even had 2 colors (Gallery | Feeding Experimentation Device 3 (FED3) | Hackaday.io) so, I figured you were printing the case separated from the front. The front included the hopper. But I think these files were for the old design where the hopper disc was flat instead of angled...
I wanted to know if it was possible to print the FED in 2 parts in case the mice chewed on the nose pieces and I would need to replace the fronts.
Thank you so much for your help.
Best,
Estefania
