Maura 'Mo' Fitzgerald sees herself as a nice quiet boring Catholic school girl except for the fact that her dad's in jail her Uncle Billy might be associated with the Mob and her best friend Verity was murdered right in front of her eyes. She craves justice for Verity's murder but the tall black-clad monstrous looking killers might not even be humanóhow can she fight something she can't even understand? Her search is complicated by a relentless police detective a gruff and sexy bodyguard who's trying to ruin her life and a mysterious and otherworldly guy who may or may not have been Verity's ex-boyfriend.

From page one this story grabs you and won't let you go. The mystery of whoóor whatókilled Verity drives the plot and Mo's bravery which verges on recklessness at times makes you fear for her life on every page. The relationship between Mo and her two equally sexy and endearing love interests is incredibly sensualóhow will she ever choose between them? I loved this book and I highly recommend to other fans of paranormal romantic young adult fiction.
Get comfy...once you start you won't stop.

Interest: Synopsis Debut Author

Title Thoughts: It really fits because this girl is torn. She is being pulled every which a way and doesn't know which way to go or even how to decide.

Cover Thoughts: I like the black around the edges and how it looks like it's closing in on her. Then she's bright and in the center and she's overcoming it.

WARNINGS: A few cuss words and a few kisses.

I loved following along on her journey seeing her grow and change and find herself. I was torn right along with her when it came to Luc. Was she meant to be the one he was with? Or Vee? Should she be thinking of him of wanting him when he was supposed to be following their destiny with Vee? Are his feelings truly for her? Or for what could get him closer to what was left of Vee? All these questions run around in Mo's head and mine.

I loved the writing and how smoothly it wove the story. The characters and the events were brought to life. Again I'm torn between the guys. There is no good guy-bad guy. They are both good and different on many levels but also the same. I absolutely can not wait to see what O'Rourke has in store for the rest of this series and whatever will come after. Fantastic start to a new series.

Addict's Last Words: The title of this book had me just as torn as Mo. Get comfy when you go to read this book because you'll try and read it all in one sitting.

To Buy or To Borrow: This is definitely a buy for me. I can't wait to read more of Mo and O'Rourke's writing.
