Prince Faisal and Princess Sara of Jordan Celebrate Marriage

Jordan’s Prince Faisal bin al Hussein celebrated his wedding to Princess Sara al Faisal in a dinner banquet held at the Aqaba Royal Palace. The groom’s brother, King Abdullah II, attended the ceremony with his wife Queen Rania, as well as members of the Royal Family, Princess Sara’s parents and family.

Prince Faisal, who is 47 years old, was born in Amman as the second son of HM the Late King Hussein of Jordan and Princess Muna al Hussein. He got engaged to the Lebanese Miss Sara Bassam Qabbani – now Princess Sara al Faisal – last March at her parents’ home in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where she was raised. They married at the Zahran Royal Palace in Amman on May 24th.

The bride is the director of Prince Faisal’s sustainable peace-building initiative “Generations for Peace”. She graduated in 2000 from the American University in Cairo, Egypt with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communications, specialising in integrated marketing communication.

Prince Faisal, who holds a senior post in the Jordanian army, is the current head of the Jordanian Olympic Committee. He has four children from his previous marriage to Princess Alia Tabbaa. They divorced in 2008.
