HRH Prince Faisal of Jordan Engaged to Sara Qabbani

King Abdullah II’s younger brother, HRH Prince Faaisal bin al Hussein of Jordan, announced last Saturday his engagement to Miss Sara Bassam Qabbani, a Syrian national.

Miss Qabbani is the Managing Director of her future husband’s initiative “Generations for Peace” and worked also an advisor in his office.

Accourding to the Royal Hashemite Court official statement, the ceremony took place at Miss Qabbani’s parents’ home in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was attended by HRH Prince Hashim bin al Hussein, Royal Court Chief Nasser Lawzy, Imam Ahmad Hilayel and members of the Qabbani family.

Prince Faisal, who was born in Amman in 1963, is the second son of HM the late King Hussein of Jordan and his British-born second wife, Antoinette Gardiner (Princess Muna). Prince Faisal was married to Princess Alia al Tabbaa and has four children: Princess Ayah, Prince Omar, Princess Aisha and Princess Sara. They divorced in 2008.
