Claire’s took me on their SS17 Press Trip to Dubai recently and we stayed at one of the most well known hotels in Dubai, Atlantis! Dubai had been on my bucket list for a while and so had the Atlantis. I remember watching Mary-Kate and Ashley years ago when they stayed at the hotel in one of their movies and I had wanted to stay there ever since.
The hotel is situated on The Palm of Dubai; basically a bit of land that from above looks kind of like a palm tree. It features a road down the centre that leads you straight to Atlantis, or there are lots of roads off of the main one leading to many more hotels, resorts and apartments.
We stayed there for 3 nights and were given a VIP check-in and entry into the Imperial Lounge which offered: buffet breakfast, happy hour and afternoon tea. My hotel room was on the 14th floor and overlooked the ocean. My room came equipped with a TV, mini fridge, fresh fruit, bath, shower, desk area and king size bed. The room was definitely big enough for a couple to really enjoy their stay.
Not only does the hotel offer accommodation, there is so much to do on site. There’s various beaches, a water park, aquarium, night club, shops and a whole host of restaurants. The Dubai Mall is only a 20-30 minute drive away as well.
We tried the Chinese restaurant within the hotel and it was the best Chinese I had ever eaten! There’s also a restaurant right next to the aquarium which is cool; so you can watch the sea life whilst dining. Atlantis definitely offer a unique experience. One of their hotel suites even has a window to the aquarium from the bedroom and bathroom. We were even taken to the top of the hotel where the huge suite is located; the likes of Kim Kardashian and David Beckham have stayed there before!
I had a very pleasant stay at Atlantis, the staff were very welcoming and very helpful. I would definitely go back and if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Dubai, I’d recommend the hotel. It’s great if you want to get away from the city life of Dubai.
